BROADCHURCH made a triumphant return this week with a chilling new crime leaving viewers hooked from the first episode.
Former Corrie star Julie Hesmondhalgh is at the centre of the drama in the third series as her character, Trish Winterman, endures a horrifying rape following a birthday party in the first episode.
And a trailer for the second episode shows Detective Inspector Alex Hardy (played by David Tennant) and Detective Sergeant Ellie Miller (played by Olivia Colman) working on the case.
DI Hardy can be seen addressing a room full of police officers providing details of Trish’s brutal assault.
