BROADCHURCH bosses are stepping up their online security to prevent plot leaks before the launch of the highly-anticipated new series.
David Tennant and Olivia Colman are reprising their roles for a third season, and producers are more determined than ever to keep the plot secret.
Season three of Broadchurch returns to screens next month, so TV bosses have launched a clamp down to make sure there are no leaked spoilers.
They have reportedly stepped up their security software by introducing computer encryption technology which has been devised by the country’s top technology experts.
The Mirror reports the show‘s script are branded with digital watermarks and each one is encrypted and password protected.
The scripts are also believed to have been distributed under a false name just in case they fell into the wrong hands.
The measures taken to protect season three’s story are said to be in addition to their decision not to tell cast members about the ending.
In the new episodes, the plot focuses on a rape victim played by veteran actress Julie Hesmondhalgh.
