BROADCHURCH takes another haunting turn as Julie Hesmondhalgh’s traumatised character Trish returns to the scene of her horrific sexual assault next week.
The actress’ emotional character has been struggling to come to terms with the assault, and is yet to remember the identity of her attacker.
In a bid to help her remember more detail, DI Hardy and DS Miller, played by David Tennant and Olivia Colman, take her back to the huge manor house where her friend Cath Atwood’s birthday party took place.
New teaser footage shows Trish and Beth Latimer, played by Jodie Whittaker, entering the main lounge, with Trish appearing shocked by the surroundings.
Meanwhile the clip flicks back to her memories of the night, showing her laughing and smiling after enjoying some drinks with her pals.

But it could be set for another dark turn, as an unknown woman walks into the police station and delivers some devastating new information.
The first series saw the murder of 11-year-old Danny Latimer rock the small Dorset town of Broadchurch, as DI Alec Hardy – still haunted by the collapse of a previous murder case he worked on – was put in charge of the case, much to the chagrin of local officer DS Ellie Miller.
Meanwhile in series two, the town faced the trauma of a trial when, after pleading not guilty, the murderer found another lawyer to fight his case.
