BROADCHURCH fans were left boiling with rage — after watching the show’s lead actor David Tennant microwave a mug of tea.
Tennant’s cop character DI Alec Hardy was seen concocting the peculiar brew in the police station kitchen on Monday’s episode of the telly drama.
One viewer said: “Biggest question about #Broadchurch right now: Who the hell microwaves tea?”
Another said: “Right abuse of a cup of tea there! #broadchurch microwave, dodgy milk then a wooden spoon. Broadchurch making a cuppa look dodgy!”
Hardy’s colleague DS Ellie Miller — played by actress Olivia Colman— was also left confused when the detective failed to use the kettle to brew up.
She asked him: “Are you really going to drink that disgusting stewed tea?”
The third and final series of ITV’s hit West Country thriller is the first to not feature a murder.
Instead, cops were called in to investigate the rape of local woman Trish— played by former Corrie star Julie Hesmondhalgh. Lenny Henry plays Trish’s boss Ed.
